Suggested Tailor Made Itinerary

Across Zanskar, Trek from Lamayuru into Himachal Pradesh - 30 days

India

The Zanskar range cuts south of Ladakh, the former Himalayan kingdom that is now part of India and often known as ‘Little Tibet’. Our preference is to tackle this classic summer traverse from north to south. This trek is a tough undertaking, involving glacial river crossings and up to 15 high altitude passes. It is also, however, one of the most remarkable trekking experiences in the entire Greater Himalaya.

On foot you head south across a series of demanding passes between 3800 and 5000m, beneath villages and monasteries perched on dizzying cliffs and through mineral-stained gorges, which provide welcome relief from the heat of the midday sun.
